Mixing Live Recorded Drums in Adobe Audition
Hi Folks,
I know peeps here aren't HUGE into Adobe Audition, but I use CS6 and love it. Just wondering if any of you could throw some tips/tricks my way on what kind of mixing techniques or effects you use on snare/bass/overhead condenser for symbols, etc.
Thanks in advance!

mic and mixing drums
hello everyone, this is my first post.
I have a cheap Behringer xenyx 1222 fx usb. it's a cheap mix cause I don't have cash to get propper material right now.
My drum kit is a pearl forum seriez and I use Istanbul samatya cymbals.
I have a Shure pg 52 on the bass drum, 2 samson co2 for overheads and a Shure sm58 for the snare.

Mixing MIDI drums: clipping/distortion.
I'm currently working on a music project in Garageband [yes, not the best DAW, but I'm comfortable with it, and I can't afford high-end DAWs]; while I think I'm able to mix most audio fairly well, I'm still having trouble with drum mixing. I'm using Addictive Drums for the drum input; while I'm able to "record" the MIDI tracks the way I want, I'm having trouble mixing them.

Metallica drum sound
How does one replicate the Metallica drum sound on "Enter Sandman"?
Specifically the kick and snare, how can you use compression, gating, reverb and Eq to even come close to it?
Thanks in advance.

Help with mixing drums...
Hi
I'm trying to mix some drums that I got from a custom drum track recording service.
I haven't had much experience doing this, and am struggling to get a sound happening.
The drum service sent a stereo mix of the drums as well as the nine individual drum tracks, and for practice, I am trying to match the sound of their mix.

Mixing Metal Drums
Hi everyone, Id like to hear some opinions on how to mix a heavy metal drum recording. Ive got this guy coming next week to my studio to record some heavy metal drums. I would like to make a very good Bass Drum sound, which is very important in this type of music.
I would be pleased if someone's got any special tip for this session.
Thanks in advance

Mixing down drums w/ sample
If the drums have been recorded. And now it's time to mix them down. How do you use the kick mic as the trigger for the kick drum sample?
Or do you have to record with a trigger on the kick drum?

Alternative drum gating
I was mixing a track today and there was very nasty hi-hat bleed in the top snare mic. Usually I let it pass but this was simply too much and I started tweaking gates and expanders with not-good-enough results. I started thinking "there has to be a way..." and here's what I ended up doing:

Mixing Kick Drums and Bass Together.. Help!
Hey all --
Is there a rule of thumb when mixing kick drums and bass together in a track?
Because since both usually occupy the low frequencies...
Should they both be seperated?
Thanks!

Drum Hall/Room Reverb
I use (like everybody) an extra hall for Snare, extra for Toms and extra for the kick. Would you suggest another one for the whole set?
It sounds strange when youcan hear a Hall on the snare, toms, kick and the O.Hs and hi-hat is "dry".
Thanks - Vagelis
