MOTU 2408 A/D converters
Hello, does anyone have an opinion as to the difference in sound quality with the original 2408, 2408MKII or MKIII models? I own the original and want to add another for 16 channels. The originals are going for aprox $150 while the newer models are $300 and $800. Is it worth the extra cost or should I maybe even look into different converters all together.

Sync issues with an aging MOTU MTP A/V
Has anyone experienced some sync issues with the MTP A/V ? If I try and run or distribute midi sync, the slave devices seem to "double time" or something to that nature. To avoid this, I have the option of distributing it from one of my Layla sound cards. It really is'nt an issue but I was curious find out what this could be. Anyone have any suggestions ?

MOTU 828MkII
Has anyone used The MOTU 828MkII? I'm wondering about its monitoring capabilities. I've got the original 828 and I can only monitor 2 channels at a time; I have to pick a pair. That's without latency (their 'CueMix' thing). If I turn software monitoring on in Logic, I believe I can monitor any and all inputs coming in, but then there's that dreaded latency.

MOTU 828 Rec with Powerbook causes Digital HangUp
Hi there,
I'm recording with a 550 G4 Powerbook, external FW-HD and two (sometimes even three) MOTU 828 on a FW Hub. I'm recording 16 to 24 Tracks of a Live-Concert.
I'm doing this for almost 2 Years and figured out some Problems which are mainly caused in a slow HD (must be 7200rpm) or FireWire wiring.
But lately I had some Problems I'm asking for help.
Anyone experienced the MOTU 828mkII ?

Crossroads: MOTU with Logic or Pro Tools LE 002 with ProT
Hello fellow studio junkies. I am at a crossroads. I have decided to go Mac like most of you big boys out there.
Now the question is MOTU 828 via Logic 5 Platinum
or the Pro Tools LE 002 via Pro Tools (I think it comes with entry level)?
RecorderMan made a point about setting myself up for the future by going Logic since Mac now owns it.
RME or MOTU?
Hi all I'm looking for a new Sound card option I currently have the MOTU 1224 which is ok but only suports 48 sample rate.
Im looking for 8 TRS analog inputs at 96 khtz. I want to begin at mixing DVD material and also improve my all audio creations.

MOTU 24 I/O
Hey guys, Has anyone here ever used the MOTU 24 I/0. I was told you can recording 24 simlutaneous tracks straight to a PC. But can a descent PC handle that. It's host based. I dont know. I was thinking rather than that go with an Alesis HD24 which I've had some great experience with. Suggestions? Advice? Thanks, Jeremy
