I am trying to setup a MOTU midi express XT in order to have Paris send MTC to control a Korg Triton sequencer. I realize this should probably be very simple, but...

I have followed the Paris instructions in the manual, but am not sure what settings I should use for the Motu, as I can't seem to get it to work. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

My system: Powercomputing Powercenter Pro upgraded with a
Sonnet Crescendo G3 400 MHz processor
256 mb RAM
Virtual Memory OFF
Appletalk OFF
Mac OS 9.0.4
OMS 2.3.8
Minimal extension set.

I'm back again with another question.

Is running a 1224 on a PC a problem? I realize audio desk is Mac only software, but I'm very comfortable w/ PCs and don't know squat about Apples. Does audio software on the PC support the 1224 OK, or is a Mac clearly the way to go?

Also, if I purchase a middle of the road G3 Mac to run this on what track counts can I expect?

Whats the deal with the different converters MOTU uses in their various interfaces? I own an original 2408 and want to add another interface. Are the converters in 1224 and the new MKII 2408 the same? What is the general concensus on either of there quality?

I'm trying to stay all-digital here. So, utilizing the S/PDIF I/O on the DDP and the MOTU 2408, how do I route such a thing?
I'm wanting to use the DDP as a 2-mix compressor.

I'm a newbie and really enjoy the pro talk forum at this site. I've been recording using Cubase VST + Digdesign's AudioMedia III for a while now. I'd like to upgrade my recording gear and I'd like to get some advice from the gurus here.
