good multi-channel A/D converters?

Folks-

I have been using the converters that come standard with my HD24 (I typically run 44.1k, using an external clock) for some time. No real complaints, but I am thinking of upgrading my converters.

I am looking for a single space unit (yes, this is a remote rig) that will do 16 or even 24 ch AD. Eight channels won't do it, as I typically run between 8 and 16 channels.

Large multi-channel Interfacing

Something I'm just curious about.

At my school we have large mixing consoles with Pro Tools HD rigs.

When you're interfacing a large analog console to a computer. Whats the best route? All Ive ever seem are those big Pro Tools racks. Is there any other option especially since Pro Tools is now compatible with any interface?

Recording rca output multi-channel

Ok so. I have a 12 Channel mixer(soundcraft efx) and i record with it into reaper v3.1415

I works really nice..but the RCA rec output sends the master mix into reaper.. is their a way to send the channels seperately into reaper? i want to gate and eq and play around with each drum indevidualy withought changing the whole drum mix..is this possible?

Advice on multi-channel audio/Mac interface

Looking for some advice. I have an M Audio Fast Track Pro (PC). Using this with nTrack Pro. I'm sure somewhere this has been discussed but haven't found anything yet.

I want to switch to an iMac and have a multi-channel interface so that I can use a board as well as my keyboard and mouse. I like boards better. By the way, don't have a board yet either.

Feeding a test signal into multiple input channels

Wondering if someone has a fast easy way to get a test tone into 26 channels at the same time to test for recording dropouts and performance.

I have a ZED16R with 16 channels of ADAT running into a FF800 with the remaining 10 inputs. I have a sine wave generator for the test tone.
