Hello, I'm new to this forum, and fairly new at recording. I am working on a didgeridoo solo CD and would like to be able to have an automatic way to pan certain of the didgeridoo's sounds left and right. The style that I play is kind of like beat-boxing, and the didgeridoo comes out sounding similar to a five piece drum-kit.

I often hear some people saying that some gates sound better than others? Can someone help me understand if this is true- thanks

Has anybody tried to use a FireWire audio interface and a USB audio interface together with Apple's aggregate device option? Would it be best to just pick up another FireWire interface for data flow/latency issues?

I was trying to use redrum as a trigger for drum samples in the NN-XT(I also have drumkits 2.0). I routed the gate out of the redrum to the sequencer gate in on the NNXT with no luck. I can't get the trigger aspect to work. Is it even possible to do with the instruments I'm using? Can anyone clarify how the gating aspect works?

Hello. I am currently recording vocals from different artists and when I am listening to the diffent takes I am hearing some unwanted background noise like air, a little bit of headphone bleeds, etc. and I am needing some help on correctly using a noise gate.

other than that,what will you apply into it for more clean sound?like will you add the Noise Reduction plugin and so on..?

I'm looking for a good gate for application on snare, tom, and bass drum tracks. I currently have the Sonitus (bundled with Sonar) but it's kind of half-assed and would really like something higher end.

Suggestions?
