Trying to get an M-Box 2 with PT LE 7.0 setup on a new PC but when installing i get -
"The software you are installing for this hardware, M-Box 2, has not passed Windows logo testing to verify it's compatability with XP"
It's XP Media Centre Edition i'm using could this be the problem?
Hello. Just purchased a used DM24 for my home studio. Overall I've got to say it's really a wonderful board. I'm having one (fairly major) difficulty though and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Here's the issue:
I have a friend who just bought a new laptop/firebox/Cubase sx for a small 'on-the-road' project studio for personal use. He works away and through telephone conversations explained a problem he's been having.
I had a bit of a problem, actually a really big problem, I had to free some space in my hard drive so I used Nuendo's pool to delete the media that wasn't being used.
My Delta 44 is crackling and popping pretty bad and i cant seem to fix it, ive adjusted the latency and the sample rate but nothing seems to help.
My system is
ga-k8npro-sli
AMD Athlon 3700+ 64bit (running 32 bit windows xp w/ sp2) @ 2.21Ghz
1.00gb ram
Everytime i push record i get a screen that randomly comes up and tells me my operating system held off interrupts for too long, and then it tells me to adjust the sample rate, and when i lower it or raise it, i still get the same message, and it interrupts my recording.
I'm trying to record some vocals, and ive been recording them in stereo on vegas video 4.0
ok ive had preamp and compressor problems in the past

ok well i have an Alesis 3630, and its givin me a number of problems
and I'm guessing this a common, easy problem since I'm new to compressors/limiters.
its cuttin off my vocals and giving me that "breathing/huffing" effect.
now thats when i put my output up.
I've been playing bass for years. Get lots of compliments on my bass tone, when we play live.
Recording is a whole new ballgame to me.
