Hey, I'm using V-amp II (or trying...) to record stuff with my guitar with Audacity, but every time I use it it "fade in" where it shouldn't. If I stop play, even for a second, then the recording volume reduced to 0 and it fades in again. I have a to play for a few seconds before it reaches full volume again and it's impossible to fix totally with post-recording editing.

I reccently rented a splitter snake from a local music store to do some live recording of a band. For some reason, I wasn't getting any phantom power at either end of the snake (split or main trunk). Is there something special required in a splitter snake to get phantom power to the business end ?

Ok, I use Logic pro 7 with 2 HD192 interfaces and multiple logic node G5s for processing. I use a Glyph GT050Q for storage via Firewire8. The problem I'm having is that when I save a Logic session, let's say after recording, then reopen the session later for a mix I get a message saying that multiple invalid regions have been changed.

this is my setup: Yamaha 01v96v2-->ADAT out-->RME multiface-->G4-->Cubase SX and back to the 01V via ADAT. for lack of a real 2trk master machine i am recording my final mixes back to the same Cubase project holding the single tracks. then i'm muting all tracks except the two "master tracks" and choose "audio mixdown" from the export menu. (44100 Hz 16 bit stereo).
