i think this is the closest section we have, to post this sort of question. i'm looking for a nice 2-channel playback card for my everyday computer. i have a delta1010 and i've always been pleased with referencing results, so i figured the M-Audio 2496 might be a good choice

hello all. i use a Digi 003 rack and would like to hear audio coming from my computers line out or my ipod through my studio monitors. i don't have a mixing board otherwise I would just run my 003 output and the computer/ipod to the board and plug the monitors into the main out. is there anyway to run a computers line out into the 003 so I could hear it though my monitors?

Hey everyone, when I record, is there a way to get live playback so I can hear myself singing through the headphones as I'm recording? When I used to record, I would go off pitch because I could not hear myself as I was singing. My trick now is to just put them on halfway, but there must be a better way! Here's what I use:

I am using cakewalk home studio 2002 to record my guitar through a microphone that is plugged directly into the sound card in back of my pc and there is some sort of problem because when I play the track back the pitch and tempo of the guitar is distorted. I recorded a short 50 second track and made it into an mp3 file so you can hear what I am talking about.

I have a box of old cassette tapes (remember those?) that I want to get onto my PC. Nothing valuable or well-recorded, just some nostalgia from garage band days. I just gave away my old dual cassette deck which was broken (freecycle.org is great!), so now I am casually looking around for a new playback deck (don't need to record onto it). Any suggestions/recommendations under say $100?

I know this is a different subject than recording, but i'm having a hard time finding help with this problem. back in the day i used to sequence from my old Korg 01WPROX and simply run the sequences from there. I did the same for a short time when I upgraded to my Korg Triton. Shortly thereafter, I began dumping my sequences to a mini-disc player.

I recently baught a new computer, setup my m-audio firewire 410 soundcard.

I'm trying to use my laptop, Cubase SX3, and a Alesis USB mixer to record. So if I use just my mixer as the primary sound device (i have to disable it in the device manager to do this for some reason), everything records fine.

At first my problem was that the audio didnt sound clear but now when i record the lyrics are off beat from the beats..i dont know how to playback on any of these programs..Cubase LE(i dont even know how to record with this program) cool edit pro,Sony sound forge or fruitloops
