Hey Firepod users. Has anyone noticed how quiet input levels 3 – 8 are? I have to pump my signal through an exterior preamp before I plug it into levels inputs 3 – 8 just to get any level out of them. Has anyone else noticed how quiet they are? Is there a setting to adjust the gain? Anyone?

Hey any you fellows had a problem with playing a DVD Back with your Firepod on? I have Windows XP media center v2002 Service pack 2. I do lots of recording and video editing. I playback everthing through my firepod and use my studio monitors. When I make DVDS and play them back no matter if i use windows media player or Intervideo player.

Just an FYI to anyone looking into buying a Firepod that uses Windows...

CHECK YOUR FIREWIRE CHIPSET SETTINGS by going into My Computer, right click and select Properties. Look for the firewire card, and verify says either "TI" or "VIA" for the chipset.

If it says "NEC" based or anything involving "NEC", the firepod will most likely not work.

I'm looking to get my DAW project off the ground by purchasing a Mic Preamp box in order to record vocals, drums, and other live instruments. The folks at ADK audio recommended the PreSonus Firepod, but I've heard some reports on harmony central of them being lower quality than some other preamps...

just purchased firepod/cubase. i have four mics plugged to the firebox and i'm only able to record on one track. how do i asign a different track for each mic? also, i was recomended to purchase an extra preamp for better sound quaility. i was told the difference would be night and day. any suggestions? i have a couple of (c3000)AKG cond.

Ok... Let me reword this. I can't create 2 seperate mixes with my firepod. When I go to assign the output for the cue mix. There is no seperate output for the cue mix outputs. Does anyone have a suggestion. I believe it may be software problem. I use Sonar 5 producer edition. Anyone please?

Well I figured out my pop and click problem. I juut needed to switch to ASIO drivers. But Today during my first session with the Firepod. I was having trouble setting up a headphone mix. Im using Sonar % producer edition, and I had the Cue send plugged into my Headphone amp, and I had the aux sends sent to a "headphone" channel. But I could not get a mix going.
