My main concern is tranferability between my computer (.WAV file) and a MAC at another studio (SDII files). Other than the obvious ethernet, is Pro Tools able to read and convert files from one computer to the other and vice versa?

I friend of mine tried upgrading from his trusty 9600's to G4's. But he runs massive pro tools sessions, and can only get 7 cards to work on the G4. This would be fine by many peoples standards, but we can't open session that we previously did with 20+ cards. Just be warned, if you want more than 7 cards to work on your system - stick with the 9600's.

I'd like to know if exist an album fully mixed in Logic Audio. It seems that all "pro" recordings are produced in Logic or Pro Tools; and at the time of the mix, it goes analog (through a Neve, Trident or SSL).

I have no doubt that this consoles sound better for mix, but maybe is mitology or to amortize the price that cost this gear...

I built this PC from their specs. a 750 PIII, 256 ram, 2 IDE HD's, plextor CDR but a ASUS mother board which works great for 001 but the PT spect says there is a possible PCI voltage problem when using it for TDM?

Joel, what is this about reading PT files or am I misunderstanding this?

If you have given up using the Steinberg DeClicker plugin I have finally found the fix!

1.) close PT. then remove the DeClicker plugin located in the systems folder in DAE folder and put it into the plugins(unused) for now

2.) boot up PT to set a new cache

3.) close PT

4.) put the DeClicker plugin back into the DAE plugin folder
