Lexicon PCM 41- Repair/Recap/Rechip

This is such a great unit, so well designed and built.  The owner mentioned the input pot was not working. The unit arrived with what looks like impact or shipping damage.  The left corner of the front panel place was bent slightly back.  On inspection I found the input pot sheared off.

Yamaha PM-180 Recap and PCB Trace Repairs

This one is now on the desk. The unit is pretty good shape, others some minor signs of liquid "ingestion" on the top panel. The unit looks stock, and I can see a few bubbled electrolytic in there.
All and all a nice build, with tiny input transformers on the 6 mic/line ins, and two output transformers on the XLR outs.

Mic pre recapping

I have a couple of Focusrite ISA-110s that, I'm told, need to be recapped. (One oscillates loudly at arbitrary moments, and the other is all distortion and not very loud - I fear it may need more than new caps.) Does "recapping" mean replacing absolutely all capacitors in the unit, or only the ones in certain sections, or only electrolytics, or?
