Yamaha Weighted Keyboard, Power Jack Repair

This one came in from my luthier friend.
Halcyon Guitars

If you don't know about Ed, you should ;)

Anyway, the power jack was loose and not making connection. Once I got the connection PCB out, I found the trace on the board had been pulled off the board.

Chameleon Labs 7602 MkII Repair

Member for

Hi all,

I'm repairing a couple of 7602 MkIIs, each with their own problems. Does anyone have experience with those or maybe even have access to a schematic or service manual? I have looked at some Neve 1073 schematics, since it's supposed to be a clone of those, but there seem to be enough differences outside of the tone circuitry that they're not terribly helpful.

Hi, my left stereo channel of the zoom h6 capsule started with buzz sounds than it got worse with a hiss sound, then I opened it and realized that the cables was detached like in this picture I took today when I disassembled it.

can you tell me how to solder it please? If you can draw on the picture where to exactly solder the 2 cables I would be really grateful

Kef 105.3 speakers foam surround repair?

Member for

Hi
I just bought a pair of KEf 105.3's for a song. the reason is the 2 visible lf drivers need their surrounds replaced as they are non existent. I assume the top LF drivers need repair too.

AS is the speakers are very bass weak. Before I spend $500 repairing the foam surrounds I need to verify that there bass response will be improved after repairing the lf drivers.
I"m using a sub so there is bass response, but i'm wondering if the repair is worth while and be an improvement.
thanks

Repairing a Shure 545?

Member for

Greetings-

I recently bought an older Shure 545 (4-pin Amphenol era) on eBay, and while it works, it sounds a bit of the dog with voice: a greatly diminished low end, and reminiscent of talking through a paper towel tube.

Given there's only three parts to the mic: cartridge, transformed and wiring, it seems eminently repairable (by me), but I have no idea what's wrong with it. So I'm looking for pointers, links or URIs of forums that might help me diagnose the trouble with microphone.

So if you could help, I'd be greatly appreciative!

KRK Rokit, one speaker broke, repair, buy new pair or a single?

Hi Folks,

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Have had a pair of KRK rp5 (gen 2) for some years and been very happy with them
One recently failed (bass speaker not working). I am trying to decide whether to send for repair (out of warranty) which will cost £30 carriage there and back, £20 initial fee discounted from repair cost when done or the following options

1) buy a single speaker of same model and generation (maybe £115)

2) buy a pair of the next generation (£230 or so)

Help repairing these old microphones

Hi all, first post here, though I've lurked for quite a while now. I recently saved a handful of mics from the recycling bin, and need a wee bit of assistance with some of them.

Before I begin, I should mention that I am a semi-professional electronics repair tech and I do a lot of work on amps, synths, and recording gear, but not a lot of microphones.

First mic: Sennheiser MD421.
