Computer recording.

I currently own a M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 which i use to record into Cubase. I also own a Souncraft Spirit Folio 16/2, which i have running in stereo out to the card.
I am looking to upgrade my soundcard so that i can use the direct outs on this mixer and simultaniously record seperate tracks into cubase. E.g A drum kit, each mic recorded on a seperate track in cubase.

multi tracking again (computer based recording)

I was just reading a post about a guy who was having trouble recording to instruments at the same time on different tracks. Generally i only record one instrument at a time but i would like to be able to record on two separate tracks simultaneously. I am running through a Mackie vlz 1202 (i also have a 1402 i can use) and then into a M-audio mobile pre.

multitrack computer recording

I am new to this game and any info regarding this would be appreciated. I have a Yamaha emx 5000 12 mixer with in and out recording and playback on a Tascam CD-rw750. what are the requirements for my laptop ( maybe bypass the crummy sound card in it) to receive multi tracks from my mixer (via a edirol ua-25 or equiv interface) back out to the recorder?
