B&W Nautilus 805 speakers for Control Room
Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has used B&W 805s for tracking and mixing? Because these are HiFi loudspeakers, will mixes translate well? Has anyone used any of the Nautilus series with good results?
Thanks
Scott

Golden Room dimension?
I am trying to find some good guidelines on room dimensions for a drum recording/ mixing room. The actual structure I have a good feel for but where I'm stuck is what would be the best room dimensions for a basement - 7-8' ceiling.
I have read about golden dimensions but that doesn't seem to work with the ceiling height and maintaining a minimum room volume.

Room Mics on Drums
Anybody have any good tips on how to mix room mics on rock drums (compression and eq)? I know a lot of people usually compress the hell out of them, but I cannot get any desirable results.
I am limited to using only plugins and I am guessing the 1176 or the LA-2A plugin would be the way to go. Any tips on settings?

What to if 71Hz is missing in room?
I have been tweaking out my room, which is rather large, about 27(L) x 22(W) x 10(H) and has various 50 degree angles from about the half way point on the walls up to the ceiling as its built over a garage.
Right now its standard drywall treatment, with carpet. Given its odd shape, I'm not quite sure what to do about my problem, which is:

Your Input on this CONTROL ROOM!
I got distracted from drawing out my own available basement, and a friend asked me help with his. So here it is. He wants to improve the space acoustically and how it is used.

What about this room I have?
Hi, first off I want to state that I am a "Super Newbie". I just know this is a stupid question, but here goes. I know when you mic vocals, it is best done in a booth, with the right deminsions, and so forth. But I go trough my house from time to time just singing away, and when I get to my dining room my voice pumps up, with great smooth low end, and a jingle kind of high-end .

Using Waves PAZ Plug to Set Room?
Hey Guys,
I just had an sudden brainstorm and I'm looking for opinions as to whether or not it will work.
If I were to obtain a pink noise generator, or a recording of pink noise (if there is such a thing), I'm thinking I could use this in conjunction with the PAZ plug to set my control room acoustics to a flat frequency response.
Here's my proposed approach:
