Condenser Mic Suggestion for Vocals, Acc/Elec Guitar, Sax
Hi,
I'm in the market for a condenser mic for recording vocals, acoustic /electric guitar and saxaphone. I'll be plugging it into either a MOTU traveller or 828Mk2 (which I'm still choosing between).
Do you guys/gals have a suggestion on what one i should get.. there are so many my brain is in meltdown.
Yellow Tool's Candy Saxaphone softsynth - Opinions?
I'm looking for good quality sax sounds in a softsynth. I current use Steinberg's Halion as my major softsynth sampler. Unfortunately, I can't find any good quality sax sounds formatted for Halion. In fact, good quality sax sounds seem to be hard to find for both softsynths and hardsynths.

recording and mixing saxophone (soprano)
Hi all
Yesterday I recorded someone playing the soprano saxophone.
He's a very engaged player (for over 50 years) using both every dynamic range available and using every corner of the recording space available.

Honking Baritone Sax
I'm looking to capture that honking 50's/60's/Motown Bari Sax sound in an upcoming session. My instinct is to try a Royer R-121 near the bell, and have a Lawson L47 2-3 feet back to capture the sound of the whole horn.
Most of my experience with bari saxes has been in more of a jazz context. I'm open to suggestions!
