To all studio owners...
Ok,
Ok,
New to the world of recording, I'm learning more and more each day about options, alternatives, various types of equipment, brands, etc. Just this morning while drooling over the Mackie Controller home page, I noticed SAW Studio support. What is SAW Studio? So I checked out the web site, watched some of their videos, and overall I was pretty impressed. Unfortunately, it is quite pricey.
any suggestions?
Hello All,
New to the forum, appreciate all the great info.
I'll try not to waste your time, I know some, if not all of this question, has been answered before. What i'm hoping to find out is a 'complete signal path' (if that's the right term) from mic/line into DAW.
Note: I have done some searching on this site and found a lot of good information, so I've edited this post to get to more specific questions. I've done a search for this topic in this forum and many others, but I have yet to find anything that pertained to my particular situation. Up until this point, I've been self taught via books/manuals and forums. I hope this question isn't too ignorant.
I need some advice from people who've been around.
I won't be tracking drums. Probably just vocals, guitars and percussion. I'll have to outsource the drums for anything major. everything else will be direct in.
The room is a small cube, so i'll be padding everything to get the maximum isolation and try to dispell my standing waves.
sorry bout that
Ok. Setting up a small studio in the next 6 months for local bands to record on.
Now I expect to have mostly Rock->Heavy rock/metal and all in between but I will have some ambient and Rap here and there.
Now I need to out fit the studio with mics for all seasons.
