Over the last few years, I started building a studio in my basement
I currently have
-A Pentium 4 computer with Cubase VST 6.0
-A Korg Triton Music Workstation Keyboard
-6 Channel Barringer Mixer
-A $250 Recording Mic
-Roland Headphones
ok here is what i have currently in the studio ill do this in list form its easier.
1. daw - ptle 001 Wavesnative power pack 1 and 2 acid 4.0
vegas video cooledit and a few good direct x plugins
2. mixer Tascam dm24 digital board, Korg 168rc digital board "old"
Hi, I'm looking for a new home in New York City (6 months to multi year) for my studio. I need a room primarily for mixing/editing but ideally would like to have a glass into some sort of live room for occasional overdubs (guitars, vocals etc).
I am fairly new to recording and i have been using my Behringer mixer to my digital 4 track to sound card but i am losing quality (i guessing throught the four tracks A/D converter) so i am bypassing that by soon buying a, m-audio 1010 interface/soundcard (8 in/8out)

Computer P4 2,4 with soundblaster live platinum
Spirit Absolute 2 monitors
ok currently i own a digi001 a Tascam dm24 digital mixer Mackie monitors 624s and cheap outboard gear including cheap pres.
I am just starting my own full studio, dont get me wrong i have been playing with music for yrs but only on a small level in my basement, anyways i will be recording mainly hip hop and i was woundering if anyone can help me find what i am missing and tell me the best product for hip hop,

After a certain (forced) absence from the site, I am finally coming to grips with my home studio.
I am in need of a mic preamp and a pair of monitors.
I have seen and heard (and liked, for that matter), the Focusrite ISA428. It also fits my budget.
