I am looking to purchase a live board that has direct outs and FX. Soundcraft Spirit FX 16 and the Allen and Heath Mix Wizzard both have these. . .

The primary function is to create a good FOH and Monitor mix. Secondary functions is to pull the directs off direct into Hard disk.

Has anyone used the Soundcraft Spirit folio SX desk in a recording application? If so how did it fair?

Thinking of getting a Soundcraft Ghost mixer as a front end for my DAW. Any "Ghost"-users here? Would be nice to get some user feedback on this, what it seems to me, great "affordable" mixer. I've used the Mackie 8-bus quite a lot in the ADAT-days, so that would be a good reference for me. How does it compare in your opinion ?

Any one out there have a folio range mixer, please check your serial#. I need to know if the serial # starting with RW means a refurb or not. Don't want to get screwed ya know.

I have been hereing very good things about the Ghost! I had made a mistake with purchaseing a Mackie 32 channel VLZ, but I am returning it for a full refund.

I would consider getting one used (this is the 24 channel)

Since I have great mic preamps, I am not too concerned with the on board pre, but can anyone tell me how the Ghosts are?

Hey- I have finally stumbled across the manual to the Soundcraft 600 I sold a couple of years ago, and I don't really have any use for it. If anyone out there has a Soundcraft 500 or 600 series board that will get better use/care with a manual in hand, email me and I will send it on.

Hey guys, been a LONG time for me :D

Anyhow I just recieved a DC2000 for VERY little cash, were talking $500!

The board itself is in decent condition however as has been the problem with all of the DC2000's the LCD panel is pretty much shot, I can get some contrast out of it but the backlight is useless.

I just got my new board! A Soundcraft Spirit Auto made in 1993 and am SO very happy about it, (anyone want to buy a good used Topaz 24/8?).

So, here's my question: the board was made in 1993 and the automation software seems to be obsolute and/or unavailable. The manual states that it can be run by Cubase, JL Cooper stuff, Soundcarft software (mac only) as well as "any sequencer".

Anyone?
