I'm thinking about taking my 24 track session ITB and printing my plugins, but leaving each of the 24 tracks separate, as well as leaving out panning info. Then sum the 24 tracks on an analog board (like a Euphonix CS3000 or a Neve)

My experience with 5.1 thru 10.2 has been mostly disappointing. So, has anybody here played around with Ambisonics? Does anybody enjoy listening to Beethoven straddling an acoustic divider?

I am interested in getting a summing box as I want to send mulitple sends from my DAW. I don't want to mix in the box but I don't really want to get a mixer, namely for reasons of space and obsolete functions. Unfortunately summing boxes are so expensive.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about analog summing. The only thing I don't get is where do you send the audio after the summing mixer? Does it need to go to a DAT or tape or something, or would it go back into you daw as just the Stereo 2 track?

Help me out, i've been wondering about this for a while.

Im curious if any of you use a summing mixer from your DAW + UAD/TC plugs .

And if so.. any comments towards a better "warm sound" in the mix ?

Im in the process of updating my converters Apogee Rosetta 800 and was wondering if items such as TUBE TECH SSA 2A or Dangerous Music products hold up to what they claI'm their products can do.

So how many of you mixing inside the computer use an analog summing device? Opinions on these vary a lot really. I work with Logic and I'm not to sure about the summing qualities, especially with a lot of tracks. Also I hear people say Cubase/Nuendo sounds better in that department...

We're using Ptools HD3 with 2 192 I/O (24in 16 out) and a Control24. we're planning to upgrade the studio. Which one will sound great : install summing mixer with additional ADDA or change the C24 to a Digital Mixer like Yamaha DM2000 or Sony's?

What should I look for in an external summing box for Pro Tools. I'm interested in no long mixing ITB. Want something with enough flavor to add interest, depth and power to my mixes.

Starting from 'square one' on this.
