Switch box suggestions
I recently started interning at the Iguana Recording studio in Toronto and among their equipment they have a Radial JD7 Injector switch box which so far I've seen hooked up to 4 amps although I know it's capable of 7. I'm looking for something similar in a reasonable price range for doing recording work at home.

Question about preamp mono switch vs. switching inside a DAW
I have Cubase LE4, which strangely does not have a mono control. I am eyeing a replacement preamp to add to my monitoring that has a built in mono switch. Will this solve my problem?
Device to switch between 2 systems?
I have 2 separate stereo systems [2 amps each with it's own speakers and other music gear], I run my music from my laptop and depending on the music I will use either system [amp] but of course I will have to stop the music to connect the laptop output to whichever amp input I will be switching to.

Dropping PCI, let's switch to...
USB? Firewire?
dropping my pci Delta M-Audio 192 and Samsontech C-Valve, I was thinking Focusrite Saffire LE would do the job even better.
Is that so? Any hint?

Currently using Traction 2, should I switch to PT or Cubase?
Hello y'all,
How do I get thunder in the midrange ala Killswitch Engage
Hi, I really love the guitar sound on the new Killswitch Engage album. My band is going into the studio in a couple weeks and that is what I want my guitar to sound like. Can any one help me? I have a mesa boogie dual rectifier and mesa boogie box. I also have a Laney Head and box and access to a marshal box. Not sure on the exact specs. Im using a custom 22 PRS guitar.
Damaging to switch off power?
I've recently bought a pair of Genelec 8020-monitors. They have individual volume-controllers, meaning each time I turn them on, I have to adjust the volum on both of them - which is annoying in the long run. To solve this, I've attached both of them (together with the mixer) to a power extension cable with a power-switch.

no phase reverse switch on my mixer sugestions plz
hi,
this is a follow on the mid side recording question. I have no mid side button on my Behringer mixer are there any alternatives ? I have a splitter in my patchbayrack and so it's just the reverse phase to deal ... would it work if I rewire a cable wrong for 1 side of the stereo image ?
merry xmas and thanks for your time again
Making the switch from SMs to condenser mics
Im using a Shure SM57 to record my guitar amp, and I have a SM58 to record vocals. I want to go with a budget condenser mic because, I'm told, theyre much better at recording.

ISA 220 Switches to "Bypass" on Switch on
Hello All,
Does anyone out there know if it is normal for a Focusrite ISA 220 to switch automatically to bypass mode (bypassing all processors) a few seconds after switch on? Shouldn't it keep previous settings?
I bought a used one recently and it seems to me unusual + cannot find any reference to it in the instructions.
Does the 430 also do this?
