I have been trying some demo's and am wondering what your favorites are.

So far, I like the Sylenth1 synth better than the others I have tried, which are the Rob Papen Albino, and the Ace by U-he.

I'm new here, but I see there's good info so I thought I'd register and join.

I'm a long time guitarist, old DAW hack, and a pianist in the making..

I'm looking to get a synthesizer with sequencing capabilities, quantize function, and analog or "virtual" analog. I definitely want something that I can sequence drums with and that has really nice drum sounds. I'd like any advice about what a synth in the $400-$600 range that have those features.

perhaps the question is rather complex... but I'll have a go at it...

is there a way to configure a virtual synth (such as Kore 2) so that you can control it with a digital piano, but at the same time ALSO use the onboard sounds from the piano itself?

what good synth vsts are there for live use (rompler-like) that have many good sounds and are easy to use so you can arrange the patches and change settings live in a show?

Hello. I have Nord Lead X2 and Fireface800.
Only problem is, i'm a total noob.
Till now i just conected NL outputs to FF inputs and record. But on one other forum they told me I'm doing it wrong. Like i need DI box and stuff like that...
So yeah, how to record?
What input level to choose? +4 dBu or -10 dbV?

A lot of the bands I watch live performances of online have a dude playing synth and he is always tweaking knobs on what looks to be like a guitar stompbox pedal. what is the stomp box that you see on top of a lot of keyboardists' synths. Is it a compressor?
