Has anyone used one of these? I just chopped and re pinned a 25dsub Yamaha . I probably wouldn't use this permanently but to get you by in a fix, pretty good adaptor to have.

i am considering buying a new interface my budget is 400$ i am looking at the Tascam US-1641 or the Tascam us-1800 i have read negative things about both but they are in my price range so i just need to know which is more stable or if there is another choice for the $ range i need at least 8 channels

i am new to inter faces i was kinda dumb and bought a Alesis multi mix 6 thinking i could have 6 sepperate channels in my software i was gonna do a guitar and mic at the same time but it all comes out in one mono channel in my software does the Tascam us-1800 come out like that 2 >?

I am new to audio interfaces and I have a few questions. I know that most of these should probably go directly to Tascam as pre-sales questions, but I'm wondering about the issues in general and how the answers apply to any brand of audio interface.

1) Is the audio signal sent into the computer through the USB connection? If so, what is the purpose of the unbalanced RCA jacks?

Im using the Tascam US-1641 for my interface atm and I was wondering what everyones opinion is on the rack unit! Good, bad, ya know?

And possiply suggestions on what to get next for an interface thats some what affordable.

Does anyone have any experience, or any reviews for this new product? I have heard anazing things about the Us-1641, but I cant seem to find a difference between the two other than the color difference.

Hello, I have been given a second hand Tascam Gt-R1 and have been recording my guitar playing but I am not sure how to upload what I have recorded to my computer. Any advice?

I recently acquired a good condition Tascam DP-01 Hard Disk Portastudio(40GB), not the FX Model. For the line inputs there is only to 1/4" jacks ( NOT XLR) ( WTF right?). So what cables or type of preamp would I need to record via my Condenser mic ( w/ 48v)? This is my portable studio not my home studio by the way.
