Streaming / Downloading sites offered by Tunecore / Catapult
Have any of you signed up to have your music distributed on any of the multitude of streaming / downloading sites? I'm not talking about iTunes, Amazon or NON-interactive radio stations like Pandora radio. My opinion is that these interactive sites rob you of sales. If you're a consumer then why pay for an album or song when you can stream or download it for pennies.
Uploading music to TuneCore
I was about to upload my music to TuneCore who would then distribute it to iTunes, Spotify, etc. and noticed that they said to make sure my music was in 16 bit format. It was my understanding that 16 bit is just for burning CDs.

will using itunes / amazon / tunecore before you are signed to a label hurt you?
ive recently compiled a CD of electronic dance style music, ive showed it to many people who i know are into the dance genres this music, NOT telling them it was my music and many of them got REALLY exited and wanted to know who it was, blah blah
my point is i have reason to believe its good music. its very label worthy.
TuneCore and "Label" - start my own?
Hi all - I've seen some threads talk about labels but more in a larger sense. I don't care about starting a real, true, label and signing lots of bands. However, I have three different "acts" that I am a part of that I plan on publishing to TuneCore.

CD Baby vs. Tunecore vs. The Orchard etc...
I am looking into online digital distribution and I was wondering if anyone could explain the pros, cons, horror stories, etc. to CD Baby, Tunecore, The Orchard or any others that I left out.
Thanks!

How to sell digital tracks WITHOUT Tunecore, etc?
Is there any websites that facilitate selling or transferring digital album sales besides Tunecore and Catapult (which distribute to iTunes, Amazon, etc)? I use ccnow.com to process credit cards but they don't facilitate downloading.
Tunecore. .is this too good to be true?
Hi everyone,
So I've been around this forum looking for ideas on recording my bands ep and then getting it heard. So naturally, Itunes came to mind. But in combing the internet for ways to allow people to digitally download our music, I came across this company called tunecore.
