I am looking to upgrade my ANUS.

P4 1.6a (overclocked to 2.13)
512 PC-2100 DDR
60GB 7200
20GB 7200
Lite-On CD-RW

I have been working on some larger projects and would like to get a litte more power from my system. What would be my best option for an upgrade?

Well I'm confused... as soon as I have built my DAW, the questione comes: What should I upgrade?
This is my list:
Mobo Asus P4B533-V (upgrade BIOS?)
soundcard RME Hammerfall LE 9636 (upgrade drivers?)
Win XP-pro.. is there anything to upgrade?...( the DAW is not connected to internet )
And finally Cubase SX v.1.03 (upgrade or not?)

Haven't been around much lately, anyway, nice to see the good old Anus world still rolling ahead:)

My DAW is about one year old now (that is obsolete by modern standards:( I'm thinking about getting P4PE mobo and P4 2400 brain. What I should know in terms of fine details such as stepping, etc. Need a word of advice from you before I buy.

Is anybody here using PT HD2 with Pro Control or Control 24? If yes, what are your thoughts?
I am a Mix Plus & D8B combo user and I just don't know if upgrading to HD2 will give me as much DSP power as I get from the D8B...great automation, 2 FX, eq and comps on evry channel.

I Use Nuendo and a Prodif 88 soundcard. I have this on a:

-ASUS UV4X PC133
-PIII 800Mhz
-512 SD RAM
-W2K
-Maxtor IDE 15Gb HHD containing my OS and programs
-Maxtor IDE 20Gb HHD containing my .wav and other Nuendo files.

Question for the masters. .Should i keep the dbx Quantum for the better clock/compression/eq/limiter or do you think it wiser to buy a UAD 1 card for the plugs for recording and mastering? Is the clock mucho importante or what? thanks mark

I am running a g4 533 with logic 5 and digi 001 card. I am mixing full drums, guitars, keys, multiple vocals, etc...and i am running out of cpu power with the plugin count. I have heard about the new uad 1 card from Mackie and tc powercore card. .anybody using these? i was wondering should i try to upgrade my cpu or look into one of the uad 1 cards. thanks Mukshoe

I'm in charge of upgrading the studio i'm currently working at. I've already started with the electrical work and the acoustics (the backbone of all the upgrades), but at the same time i know the equipment needs some upgrading as well.

We are currently running ADAT XT's (which i loathe) with a Mackie 24x8(which i loathe as well, but not as much as the ADATs).
