M-audio ProjectMix IO upgrade?

I could use some advice, sometime in january or febuary I will be buying a new interface to help get my freelance producing going. If I buy the m-audio ProjectMix would that be a great start or what? I basically will be using it to record bands with a DAW. I want something that gives me great sound and great control on a professional project studio level.

need help making recording upgrade choices

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade the home recordings I do on my computer. I've been doing recordings for years (I'm a poor college student now) by just recording my voice/instruments on a mic straight into the computer. As you can imagine, the quality is not great. Now that I've realized I'm serious about recordings, I need to have a better setup.

I am posting for the first time on this forum although I am a frequent reader for a long time now! I currently have in my Studio a Tascam Firewire 1884 audio interface connected to a PC running Cubase SX 3. I also have a Focusrite Voice Master which I use mainly on recording vocals bypassing the Tascam pre's!

Tascam CD-RW 700 or upgrade?

I've searched the Forum and can't find anything about this specific topic...there might be info I missed about the follow-up questions. Sorry if this is a double post.

We have an old (relatively) Tascam CD-RW 700 we've used in the past as a mixdown deck. We really like it. However...Tascam has put out a few newer models since we bought the 700.
