Windows XP "tweaks" for better performance
This one intrigued me as I just came across it.
http://www.espace-cubase.org/anglais/page.php?page=flmatosxp
The "ACPI or Standard Mode?" got me. It seems like a pain in the butt to do, having to reinstall all my drivers.
But is it worth it? Does anyone know about this?

Mobile Laptops: Windows or Mac?
Hello!
If one was to dedicate a laptop completely to (primarily) audio and (some) video editing, which is more condusive? Windows or Mac? I am going to be recording live music, running loops, creating beats, etc., and also editing a lot of pictures and some video.
Would a Mac be preferred for this? If so, why? If not, why not?
Thanks in advance for any input.
