I would like to increase the number of inputs to my Yamaha Stagepas 400i

The Yamaha Stagepas 400i mixer has i/p of 4 x mono mic/line + 4 mono / 2 stereo line

I am a drummer and trying to record some decent drum tracks on my laptop using Audacity. I have SM57 mics in each channel and a RCA to 1/4" T cable coming out of the mixer REC OUT and into the mic jack on the laptop. The sounds is pure crap, which makes me think the recording is actually the built-in condenser mic? This is my first attempt at this and I might be out in left field?

Hey everyone. I use a Yamaha Stagepas 300 system for a musical theater show. We run the show every week. The system works well and fills every hall we play very well.

Connected to the Stagepas's mixer are 3 wireless microphones and an MD player.
