Thoughts On Yamaha 02R96

I've been thinking of spending a lot of bread on a hard disk recorder...On top of a bunch of outboard gear.
Maybe this will be the all in one piece I've been looking for.

Anyone with experience using the piece?
Does it sync with pro tools?
Is it a standalone recorder? I'd like to record instruments IN the box.. Then sync it with pro tools to track vocals.

Mid-range digital consoles- Tascam vs Yamaha?

I will be updating 3 new rooms with mid-ranged digital consoles in the spring 2012, I've been using the Mackie D8b's for about 10 years now. Unfortunately Mackie has basically dropped out of the mid-ranged digital console market after the Digital X-bus (Which was discontinued and buggy, from what I've read).

Help Please: Yamaha Audiogram 6 Set-up and Music Creator 6

I purchased Audiogram 6 from my local music store, downloaded the Windows 7 Driver for it, and have everything that the instruction manual told me to do done. I can't seem to link it with my Music Creator 6 program. I'm trying to record guitar tracks. Does anyone have any clue how to link the two? I thought it should recognize the device driver immediately, but it doesn't for some reason.

Help setting up Cubase and Yamaha Audiogram6

Hi, I just got my first Cubase software and I need help configuring it. I've been trying for about 20 hours and I'm going nuts. I have a few questions.

My mic volume is barely audible and yet when I record the playback is so loud it is cracking and popping, how do I manage this?

When I turn on Monitor there is a delay and I can't figure out how to manage that either.
