Recording with eKit (Yamaha DTXplorer)
We are fixing to get an iMultiMix 8 USB mixer to work with Protools.
We use a Yamaha DTXplorer eKit and was wondering if anyone has had experience recording with this eKit before? I've skimmed a few threads on other sites about issues with it, and can't seem to find anything helpful on it.
It's got the MIDI Out and L/R Output jacks; Any input?

Yamaha 01V96 as DAW recording device...
I was wondering if using a Yamaha 01V96 as a DAW recording device was a good idea?
If I would like to record 12 simultaneous channels via firewire into software (like cubase, or such), can the 01V96 be used as such?

Yamaha HS80m 2 failed within 6 months!
So I bought 2 HS80m ... First ampboard fried 6 months ago! Fixed it ($230) now the other one failed! Crap!
I don't know what a f*** to do now. I will probably go and buy KRK rp5(open box 235). And save money to fix Yamaha to sell them.
Are KRK rp5 get the job done? I am afraid that I used to 8" woofer now and will f*** up low end. What do you think?

Yamaha MG124C Mixer ? any good ?
With regard to my recording project (a brass band) - see this thread {old-link-removed}
Our room is fitted with a maximum of 6 XLR stage boxes so with this in mind we are setting our initial budget to a maximum or 6 mic's and the associated gear needed.
Mic's in the range of sm57's due to the versatility they offer and a mixer in the £100 to £150 (new price) mark.

My Yamaha 02R became crazy!
Hi everyone,
My Yamaha 02R Digital Console (the original model), became crazy.
A few days ago, I was working, then, suddenly the sound stopped, and the console VUs showed a moving light, (a sort of auto calibration). I din’t find any way to fix it, then I turned the console off. Next day, when I turned it on, everything was fine.( I checked the battery out, ans it’s OK).

Yamaha N12 or N8
I am a solo Singer Songwriter looking to upgrade my current system of Focusrite Saffire (want a more hands on approach), also use my AW16G which is easy but I find all my recordings sound very samey on it.
I would mainly be recording guitar vocal, max 3 chanels - mic'd guitar, di guitar (taylor T5) and seperated vox via reflection filter.

Getting Two Yamaha n8's to work together as one
Hello. I recently bought Two Yamaha n8's, and I'm very happy and excited.
Now, one little snag... I hooked up the second N8 to the first and the first is hooked up to the PCI Firewire Card port on the Mother BOard.
Now my problem is getting Cubase Studio4 to reconize the Second N8.
