What do you guys think of it and how much do you think it's worth nowadays?

We owned one for about 2 years. Overall, it's as-good-as or better than any board for the price of $3K. Make sure it's in good condition. Ours had been beat to hell and the technical problems got out of hand.

You will have to maintain it. The switches get dirty and intermittent. The master bus should sound good with Jim's upgrade. We had that done and it made a big difference.

The board is a dark sounding console. I loved the logic to the layout, but don't miss the sound. Cue mixes and tape machine tracking/mixing was what it was designed for.

The line amps on the REC OUT on each channel color the signal. We noticed a definate sound change if we Direct Monitored through the converters rather than console monitoring. It's like the cotton was taken off the strip.

It's got a great matrix and bus system. The summing bus is pretty good. Make sure you have a beefy power supply with it. It's got the ability to use 2. Must be for a reason even though we never did.

It doesn't suck. It's not outstanding. Take it over a Mackie as long as it's in good condition.
