Kev,

Thanks for the info. In reply to your question, I plan to build my own version of the Fairchild 670, well actually it's more like my own thing. But I'm using the Fairchild 670 as a starting point instead of a final product. The idea is to build something not necessarily better but obscenely high quality (yes...comparable to the Fairchild 670) but something that will not be compared to it because I'm not trying to clone it I'm trying to come up with something different that takes the qualities of the 670 and adds my own twists, turns, adjustments/ideas.

yeah Rob is cool
I think you need to look for a couple of the other Group DIY prime movers like Steff, Frank and TeKay.
My stuff is more work-horse and directed at beginners and DAW people ... at the moment that is.
I'll get back into specials once all the attention has calmed down.

We also see that a few commercial companies that had walked away from their old stuff is now back into it and as a result do chase us down if we overstep the invisible line.

You have a lot of help out there if you need/want it.

Thank you for the names. I'll make sure I track them down. I just love this forum! The spirit of helping each other is absolutely AWESOME!

I hope to see EVERYONE here at AES!! We can all throw a big DIY party and maybe everyone that has a product/diy project can bring one or more and show them off at our party?!!

Well I'm just thinking out loud but if anyone is interested just post you're thoughts here.
