Hi,
I'm interested in buying a D.I. box (mostly for bass), I was wondering if any of you guys had some suggestions. I looking at a price range of about $200 or less, but I would consider something a little more expensive. I appreciate the feedback. Take care.

I think one of these will be my end-of-school year gift to my college Sophomore (bassist). You can download a schematic for one of these at Jensen Transformers web site and build your own and save.

i'd suggest asking about particular bass players uses. if you can find out what kind a handfull of players used that you're familiar with, that might help your decision,,, not always easy to find these things, but if you stay close to the magazines, you'll come across all sorts of inside stuff like that. don't get me wrong though, what works for one pro isn't garanteed to be the best thing for you!just nice to know what's "primus-approved" so to speak

I used to be a client of Deane Jensen's back in the early 80's. He wrote some circuit analysis software he used for all his designs and I had a copy - used to beta test new versions for him. We had some great talks on the phone. Unfortunately, I never made it out to LA to meet him before he died. Deane was a monster in his corner of this business.
