I may be crazy, but in one of the live Vanessa Mae concert videos, I could have sworn I saw her stepping all over a Line 6 floorboard for the POD2.0/Pro/Vetta series.

I think it depends on wheter you wnat it to sound like a natural DIed sound or if you want it to sound a little more "filthy" :D . In a ny case I think you'll need a preamp after the DI box, to raise the signal to a menageable level.
The idea of the Pod is way cool, I'd like to try it out.
