My overall question is about the finalizing of your mix?

1.When you mixdown, should you mixdown to a single(stereo) wave? or should you do two(mono) panned left/right?

2.Should you use two tracks. both in stereo. just to add fullness

Im just asking for some tips and some good practices to make my post mixdown fuller or thicker, some times my mix doesn't seem as full as it should be

Thanx

Adding "fullness" to a mix usually means compressing either individual instruments or the whole mix and, often as not, both. Mastering can also add fullness (more compression) and loudness (limiting). Other ways to add fullness are to double track or use multiple mics, i.e. close mic and a room mic. I get great sounding guitar takes with a close mic and a room mic. With rock guitars I sometimes pan the close left and then bring up the room on the right until the close guitar just starts to move off the pan point. Phase will be an issue so listen carefully if you do this, although stereo phase problems are not as big an issue as they once were.
