Hi all,
Working on a new song idea. Solo may need to be added, but before I continue, feedback is most welcome on what I have. Also feedback on if I should add a solo or leave the mid part as an instrumental break.
Thanks in advance and rock on!

FALLING SKY
(Words by Jonathan Linton, Music by Jonathan Linton)
Tonnes of steel
Hid in a hole
Mankind
Out of control
14,000
Ways to die
Button pressed
And blown sky high
Dodged bullets of extinction
Now you’re obsessed with
Jurisdiction
Your conviction
Nationalize
Human demise
You keep the scouring
Miss the warning
Only realize
When the sky is
Falling!
When the sky is
Falling!
Falling!
Red alert
Flip the switch
Could be
Doomsday glitch
Who gave
You the right
To decide
Mankind’s plight
Dodged bullets of extinction
Now you’re obsessed with
Jurisdiction
Your conviction
Nationalize
Human demise
BREAK
Now you’re obsessed with
Jurisdiction
Your conviction
Nationalize
Human demise
You keep the scouring
Miss the warning
Only realize
When the sky is
Falling!
When the sky is
Falling!
Falling!
Falling!

Hi there Smash,
Thanks for the feedback. I got a tip to make the frequencies below 100-200 Hz in mono and do a HP of the mono channel and stereo channels differently? Also added a solo and did a remix. Feedback on this updated mix most welcome:

I got the same rumbling low end on near field monitors in the first version. The second sounds better, but a little...unnatural. I mean not quite the round, nice lows that I'd expect for the genre. It's not bad, just a bit lacking, I feel. Maybe a little less hp on that mono channel?

The guitars on the sides are bigger than the drums in a disproportionate way .
almost as if the drums has a hi pass filter vs the guitars don't .
and the guitars have a low pass filter where the drums don't .
Thats the easiest way to explain what it feels like to me in the headphones .
maybe the drums could be widened to match the guitars better .
Id like to hear some others chime in , what do you guys think?
Id like to hear it again when you give it another tweak , it may only need a little tweak .
good stuff

Drums are a little thin - I'd agree Ash -- This is a pretty sweet song. And yes -- in the breakdown you could definitely add some screaming guitars or even sound effects - I start layering guitars and build up a guitar army frenzy before you get back to where you strip away and bring the vocal back in.... Make that section sound like the sky is actually falling -------

I like that , its really kicking energy .
Im on headphones . There is a build up of low frequencies here and its a rumble .
Not sure if thats what your after , but for me it too much rumble and became fatiguing .
If you address that it ,everything will be clearer . would like to hear again .
