I havn't bought yet and I am deciding between the project and studio paks...
the plugs I'm using are the Kjuher(sp?)-audio classic series plugs, and from what I've read and heard the UA plugs should be quite an improvement.
so, which plugs would i get the most immediate bennefit from?

i just bought the project pack... there is a promo right now where you get a free LA2 and $50 off your next plugin purchase...
so the cheap route works fine cause you get the LA2, 1176 (light version)... you just need to buy the cambridge which i hear allows mega instances to run...

The Ultra pack... :D :?
Seriously... I'd get the studio pack as the two 1176s, LA2 are nice as is the Pultec Pro and some of the other stuff. I'm using the Precision EQ and Limiter a lot though here and love them.
I'm not thrilled with the reverb. I prefer my powercore, Waves IR, Sequoia Roomsim, etc.. more..

All plugins are included in the software which means you get fully functional demos on all of them for 14 days. That way you can try them out and have two weeks of deciding which ones to get. Then you can buy them individually at the UA webshop once you're a registered user.

I personally use the Cambridge, the LA2A, and the 1176LN the most. Maybe even in that order (1-2-3). The fairchild gets used a bit for bass and overheds. I might would use the Pultec Pro in place of the Cambridge if'n I had 'bout 4 UAD cards. I still haven't tried the reverbs in the UAD package. I use the Powercore for that or SIR.
