What's up guys, I finally just ordered some more equipment, mic stands, guitar picks, and an sm58. Currently this is what I'm planning on for music. Just wondering if you would switch things up / any suggestions on more equipment. Good thing is that my mom supports my recording hobby because I promise her I'll give her a CD when I get better stuff to record with!

Preamp / interface thing - PreSonus Firepod
Mics - SM57, SM58, AT2020
Software - Audition

It's mostly acoustic rock, and I'm thinking maybe the AT2020 on the guitar, SM57 on the strings, and SM58 on the vocals. I know that pros use the SM58, but they have multi-thousand dollar preamps, will the firepod give me a good sound? Do you have any suggestions for good condenser mics as well? (christmas present)

I plan on playing and singing at the same time, and I'm asking for suggestions now because I'm at school and my stuff is at home. It sucks >=(
