Hello, just got my first recording setup. My equip is a RODE NT1A, M-Audio DMP3, a Roland VS-880, M-audio powered monitors. The whole set up is in one room. I get a lot of feedback on both vocals and mic'd acoustic guitar. I am barely able to turn the gain up past 9am on the DMP3 and the same goes for the input sensitivity to the VS-880 channel. Is this feedback caused because i have the monitors on instead of listening through headphones? Also what is a good baseline to have the channel and master fader set at? Thanks in advance.
