Both of these mics served their purpose (vocals mainly) but the Oktava is dull sounding and the 8 Ball almost sounds like you have a BBE Sonic Maximizer on the vocals. maybe I'm just insane.
Anyway...does anyone have any suggestions for a step above these mics. Right now I am on a tight budget ($400 and under please). I had a larger budget a week ago, but overlooked a few bills. I need something before my next session because it is more high profile than my last session.
BTW...I'm running the mic into the GT Brick...a nice pre.
Thanks!
