I have been searching for information on Mid-Woofers..
Cant find much.
Im sure it just handles some of the midrange at a certain crossover, leaving lower frequencies to the subwoofer.

Question 1:
Are there any mastering engineers that prefer to use a speaker system with midwoofers?
Or that have a midwoofer system?

Im guessing not many, since most audio systems do not incorporate a midwoofer...

Now the reason I ask...
I can do mastering...Though I prefer to let the professionals handle that...
But when I am done with a mix, I do a rough master and drop it to CD for the client to hear, and take the disc here and there, to let others hear...

In addition, I have other speaker monitor systems, couple of different headphones, cheap computer speakers, a Logitech Z-2300 2.1 system.
2)Rokit RP5's and the RP10S sub...

SO I am looking into getting some cheaper price range speakers, just for additional referencing, in addition to my mixing monitors and sub system...
So this is the setup I was thinking...and something I can get a deal on...
A 3 way speaker setup. nothing fancy.
Tweeter-Mid-Woofer. .

Which ones should I roll with.

Floor Standing(with port). or Book Shelf...

Floor Standing,(though I would put them on a homemade stand to bring them to ear level)
