I have been searching this site for some discussion or reviews on Logic Pro 7. I've found nothing at all. It looks pretty sweet but I'd love to hear what people think of it. I especially would like to know about the plugins.

Cheers

I just attended the Logic Pro 7 seminar at Mac Authority in Nashville last week. Very impressive! They spent a lot of time on plugins, instruments, loops, nodes & sequencing, but didn't really get into the editing capabilities. I would sure like to know how the editing functions of logic compare to Pro Tools. I would also love to know how it performs when tracking multiple live instruments. Nobody seems to discus that much.

Thats its real downfall as far as most people are concerned. Honestly though, Logic has a different way of doing it, and ProTools LE has absolutly NO way of using dual processors or freezing tracks or latency compensation... etc.. you get my point.

Logic has a different way of doing things and ProTools die-hards will say it sucks, but with all the features LE lacks it really I don't understand how they can argue, LE can't hold its own against Logic 7 if you want processing power.

I still think Digital Performer 4.5 whoops both of em' though. =)

Upgrading my DAW is an important business decision for me. I'm sold on the musical side of Logic, but the Lions share of my income comes from concert tour, Motor Event and Album advertising. I need to be able to cut a bed together really fast, which I can do easily in Pro Tools. In that application, I wouldn't need most of the bells and whistles in Logic. I just need to find out if I can easily move audio regions around, slice, dice, fade, etc. I want to move to Logic, but since they never speak about that side of it, I fear that it lacks something.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
