:(

I am a new user with the Alesis Masterlink, and need some help understanding how to get to ( and change as needed ) the
" Gain" settings on the Masterlink. Why? Well, whatever I record on my Yamaha Pro 9000 Keyboard to the Masterlink ( then making a CD ), is so low in volume that it is almost impossible to hear on any other system.

Not beeing familiar with this new toy of mine, and not being very much of a "tech" also, I have to have someone walk me through
( step by step ) the buttons to push on the front panel of the Masterlink to get to " gain ", and offer a suggestion as to what I may have to do ( "gain setting" ) to get the Masterlink to record LOUDER!

Frustrated... can anyone help?

Thanks
Benji

Keyboards should always have a Direct box connected to them on their outputs, before recording. This is your biggest problem.
I have a Korg Triton, and thought that I would not need a DI box with such a high quality keyboard. Boy was I wrong.
I have a Radail JDI MK3, it's the best tool I have to raise the levels of keyboard and that make my signal hot enough for recording.
Of course there are tons of DI boxes that you could go with.
Prices can range anywhere from $30 to $300.
