Alrighty,

This has gone on long enough. One of my machines has been dumping random samples for a while now. If you zoom in on the wave form you see a break where the signal drops to zero for one sample. Not a huge deal but it makes for extra work in editing.
So my question is: WTF is causing this? It's a Dell dimension 4100 with 256 MB RAM, Win 98, running Sound Forge XP, on an Echo Mia. We did a barebones install of the system. Ripped every single unnecessary piece of software out of there. It is connected to a network but there's never any activity on that machine while there's a session running.
Any ideas? Thanks.
