Asus more reliable then I guess the writers of EQ MAG DON'T NO WHAT THERE SAYING .I AGREE ASUS HAS MORE OPTIONS FOR THE BIOS!But that spells a lot more option for confrontation between all other elements in the computer chain .And I must admit the chips they use are of cheaper variety on the motherboard it self. yea the Tyan stuff requires certain brands of ram power etc**But thats what make 's them so solid when built right! The pro'sI no use Mac but when they do build a PC price and reliabilaty are no option SCSI 10*000- RPM -DRIVES ADAPTEC 29160 N SCSI CARDS and Tyan server mother boards. Not only that but if there is a problem you can talk directly to the CEO of the company! When your running 24/7 there is no room for error.Thats why Most of the major studio's I deal with here in Vancouver Canada run MAC'S or high end Tyan rigs! Its like having Avalons or Neve mic preamp's.I did use a Asus rig in 1996.I don't mean to offend you Opus just giving another pro opinion.

Dude

This is a silly post. I read that artice and found a lot to be desired on it.

Just becasue EQ posted that doesn't mean it's the bible. That's one opinion.
Cheap gets you exactly what you pay for. How often do you need to call the manufacturer for support? If you have to do that then you have to wonder then...hmmmm??

I'm closing this thread as it's an invalid poll and a useless thread.
