Hi all
I recently installed my GeForce 4 Mx 460 with Detonator 41.09 driver and XP...
my problem is that: Can i set diferent configurations to each monitor ?
i'mean.. 1280x1024 on the 1st monitor and 1024x768 on the 2nd ?
At my Display Settings i just set a global resolution ( 2560 x 1024 for 1280x1024 on both monitors )
the problem with that is that windows treats my desktop as just one big desktop... the result of that is when i open something the should be centered in the screen it is centerd in my desktop.. in other words, HALF in the 1st monitor and HALF in the 2nd monitor.. when i maximize an app it takes all the 2 monitors ( the nView Maximize button is just a POOR workaround )..
i Used the nView settings but not all problems were solved
some programs i use still show some message box Crossing the Monitors.
i used an old Matrox G400 with no probs.. .. and an ATI Radon 7500 .. and both worked with no probs.. is that a configuration of the driver that i'm missing ?
I've heard that's 'cos Matrox G400 have 2 RAMDACs and GeForce 4 just have one.. is that true ? what it means ?

Cheers..
PG

I've seen the Nforce at work and it will indeed split into two monitors with no problems...you have to make sure you physically see two monitors when you look at the settings tab within the display properties. If you don't then it's not configured properly. I think you need to hit the advanced button within the settings tab and then you should be able to select dual monitors or something of that nature within those tabs.
