Look, how necessary is tracking? Do i really need to load every track of my beat individually into Samplitude. I'm asking because 1). i'm a pretty raw producer...i make beats and am good with music but really don't know as much as i should about the pluses and minuses of pluginsand the results that comes from individually tweeking each track and 2) I think my sounds bang coming straight out of my mpc without any compression effects or whatever..but again that's just my ears...let me know what's up! What you think about Samplitude anyway?

If you like what you hear, why change it... but on the OTHER hand, if you sit there with only a fixed stereo mix of drums and everything sounds GREAT *except* that (e.g.) hihat is really cheesy sounding (or whatever)... you are kinda stuck. So one should perhaps be sure you REALLY like what you hear.
Also it has become somewhat "stylistically appropriate" in various genres to effect the entire drum mix at once so things that in a pop song would be considered horrible artifacts (i.e. cymbals pumping due to compression on the kick) is an intentional and beef-inducing *effect* when used in a dance tune.
(Actually thats a tip: Compress a kickdrum with a cymbal hit and it will "feel" heavier as the cymbal ducks for the kick hit, kinda psycho-acoustic thingy)

Vibe is more important than anything else. Tweaking every trackis waaaaayyyy overrated. If you're getting good results, I wouldn't change a thing.
I have mixed loads of loop based material, and it's really no problem to manipulate loops with EQ and compression, if they really need it.
Remember the sparser (more sparse?) the material, the less compression that is needed, becasue you're not trying to cram everything into a space that's too small.
