I'm looking for cables (8) to connect from the "insert" on my live mixer to a PreSonus firestudio project, for recording live performances. I know there are a ton of cables, so if you could post a link that'd be great, and I can go from there. Thanks!

That Hosa 8-channel snake is really bottom-end quality cabling with moulded plugs, but it will work until one day it doesn't.

I would not rely on the "first-click" method of extracting a signal from the mixer's insert jacks without breaking the path to the summing section. Instead, use specialist adaptors such as the Hosa DOC-106, or re-fit one end of the snake with TRS plugs having ring and tip shorted together.

This is what I was talking about in your other thread. Using the "first click" method is fine for an occasional use but if you are going to be doing this on a regular basis it has the drawback of easily being dislodged, putting undue wear on the receptacle and if fully inserted by accident blocking the PA channel.
Here is a link to the cable Boswell mentions

This connector does require another connection, but if you solder your own TRS connection (with the correct jumper between tip and ring) on the end of a unbalanced TS lead you can fully insert the jack and run one cable between the insert and the recording device. Much more reliable and professional. I looked for the wiring diagram that I think DVDHawk had posted for this here in the forums but could not locate it. Maybe he would be kind enough to post it again if he has time.
