Is it possible to record a midi track and still have it go through an analog mixer before it passes to the computer?
I am using a SBlive...
I would really like to record midi but there is a great improvement in sound when it goes through my mixer so I am forced to record audio track. so can it be done?

Depending on what sound card you decide on(read my reply to your soundcard question) you can take the output of the mixer and feed that to the soundcard. whatever program you may be using just records the MIDI data and tells the synth to play it..you just take the audio outs of the synth to your mixer and route the mixer to your audio interface then arm an audio track to record that
