hey folks!

i'm trying to figure out which (budget) condenser mic to buy...i was on the cusp of ordering the MXL 990 (from musician's friend), when i read some reviews complaining that the shockmount is cheap and doesn't work well:

so i started poking around a bit more...and found the Nady SCM 900:

which with this:

ends up being the same price (and the shock mount seems to be more stable)...both mics have good reviews (considering the price of the mics) and to be useful for similar things (I'm most interested in Micing acoustic instruments (esp. guitars) and vocals).
can anyone shed some light on this? which would you get?

IMO Nady isn't as good as MXL I have a few of each of their cheap mics and of them all the 990 is my favorite. Don't get me wrong its not a great mic and I don't often use it for recording but I do like the mic better than the other cheap ones. I don't know what you heard about the shockmount, mines perfectly fine works great and looks great.
