I am trying to track down a specific Flying Faders System. It was sold sometime in 2006 and may have been sold as a part of a custom 80 series Neve frame. The frame was customized to hold 48 1081s and had a custom monitor section designed by Steve Firlotte (Inward Connections) and Ian Gardener (Boutique Audio).

The important part is the Flying Faders System. It was being described as a large system, 2 flying faders systems merged together although there was only one computer and one card cage. At least 48 of the fader circuit boards were the old style deeper type that had an edge connector along the bottom edge facing the floor. It would have been identifiable at the time because it had black face plates for the faders that were 45mm or 1.75" wide (to match an 80 series Neve module).

I am trying to resolve an issue with the person who sold the system and simply need to confirm that the system was sold to somebody back in 2006.

If you are the current owner or have come across a Flying Faders system that resembles this description please let me know.

Thanks for the help!

Yes this is definitely the real Eric Valentine. The impostor (Louis Adkinson) was slapped with an injunction that makes it illegal to use my name. He has pretty much been in hiding ever since he was served papers, there other people that are after him.

I have to say it is still kind of surreal having to explain the I am ME :)

Thanks,

EV

Eric,

I can't imagine what you're going through... It's gotta be a nightmare.

I'll definitely dig around through the guys I know and see if I can get any word on that console for ya'... although I'd think it'd be pretty common knowledge on who owns it, but that's the funky thing about this biz, ain't it?!? (That a big ol' Neve could hide!)

Hope I can get you some info one way or the other soon.

Eric

Not a problem... Glad you got everything sussed so quick!

Let me please invite you to hang around here at R.O., when schedules permit. It ALWAYS a pleasure to have guys with your chops and background around! There's a lot we can all learn from professional's such as yourself.

Take it easy, and good luck with things! Decent guys don't deserve what you're dealing with, and I hope it gets straightened out soon.
